King & Rye's Cocktail Garden Returns
King & Rye is excited to announce the return of our Cocktail Garden experience located in our beautiful courtyard. This redesigned space features lounge areas, intimate dining spaces, fire pits, a summer event series and – of course – a special menu of stellar seasonal cocktails to explore.
Curated by General Manager and Executive Bourbon Steward, Allison Strunk, the cocktail program focuses on a variety of spirits and fresh seasonal fruits like our house-made sangrias and spicy watermelon crush. Chef Tomas Chavarria has curated a seasonal garden menu featuring southern specialties. Plates are made from scratch with the highest-quality regional ingredients ideal to share and enjoy al fresco.

Hand-Crafted Flavors
At King & Rye, we are built on the foundation of community. We are proud to source ingredients and meats from local farmers and butchers such as Firefly Farms and Autumn Olive Farms.
The Cocktail Garden is the center of hand-crafted, seasonally inspired drinks and dishes in Old Town Alexandria. Our expert mixologist, whiskey steward, chef, and team carefully curate locally sourced ingredients that inspire flavors you’ll crave time and again.
Terms & Conditions
Lounge reservations are two hours per reservation and available Tues – Sunday.
Cocktail Garden F.A.Q.s
Children: Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We will have our kids menu available.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome and must be on a leash at all times.
Cancellations: Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours in advance.
In order to properly sanitize each lounge, the length of rentals will not be extended if parties arrive late.
WEATHER DEPENDANT! The Cocktail Garden will close due to inclement weather. Reservations will be notified day-of. Reservations can be moved inside to King & Rye, rescheduled in the Cocktail Garden for a later date or refunded due to weather. In these cases, you will be notified via email about an option to reschedule your booking or receive a complete refund. We will make every attempt to make the cancellations well in advance of your reserved time, but reserve the right to make fully-refunded cancellations in the case of emergent weather conditions at any time.
Outside food, drinks, smoking, or vaping will not be allowed in the Cocktail Garden.
